A nonprofit veterans service organization comprised of eligible veterans and military service members from the active, guard and reserve forces.

Our Membership

While founded in Paris in 1927 and named after America’s first Ambassador to France, our 270+ members are worldwide, including: Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, UK, and the US

To foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts. To serve our veterans, the military and our communities. To advocate on behalf of all veterans.

WELCOME TO VFW POST 605

Teamwork ~ Leadership ~ Commitment
As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

🎓 VFW Scholarship Opportunities for Students!


VFW Post 605 is proud to offer two opportunities for students to compete for scholarships while sharing their thoughts on what it means to be an American. 


Voice of Democracy is open to students in grades 9–12 and challenges them to create a 3–5 minute audio essay, with awards ranging up to $35,000 nationally. 


Patriot’s Pen gives students in grades 6–8 the opportunity to compete through a written essay, with scholarships and awards available at the local, district, state, and national levels.
